My Best Meal In Madrid: Haroma

IMG_5871.jpg

Tucked away in one of the corners of the mesmerizing Salamanca neighborhood of Madrid lies the Heritage Hotel. A charming yet unassuming building from the outside, I was entirely unprepared for what lay in store for me inside those walls. The entire hotel is like a work of art and every corner of every room is breathtaking. I would have been happy just sitting in their exquisite tea room, but my cousin and I were there to eat…. and eat we did!

Dining at Haroma is special, and not just because of it’s 2 Michelin Stars. it’s an experience that satisfies all the senses. The room itself is stunning and every detail from the furniture down to the fine china and cutlery makes you feel as if you have been transported to another world. We were taken care of by an exceptional staff who served us a tasting menu of their top dishes and perfectly paired wines. I am sharing the photos of this magical night here and reliving every bite until my next visit. I already can’t wait to go back!

The beauty of the space instantly transports you to another world.

I loved every little detail. I am still not over this place setting.

First Course: We started with a crab dish that was bathed it’s own creamy, delicious sauce. I want to take a bath in this sauce.

Second Course: Lobster Ravioli with a champagne and saffron sauce… need I say more?

Third Course: Pickled Sturgeon with saffron, aubergine and purple garlic. I didn’t even know purple garlic was a thing but now I need to have more of it in my life.

Fourth Course: The COCHINILLO!! Also known as “suckling pig”. Now, I’ve never found a cochinillo that I didn’t like, but this was seriously next level. Cooked to perfection, the meat literally melted in your mouth and skin was crispy and mouth watering. I am drooling just looking at it.

Desert Before…..

And after: A deconstructed brownie mashed together in with cream, ice cream, raspberry, pistachio… the whole thing was just divine.

After dinner we had some friends join us for drinks on the terrace. A perfect nightcap to the most perfect evening. It was truly special!
